Navigation House - outside

This original canal company office, built in 1838, is now an impressive, refurbished Grade II listed building that stands in the old public wharf area, now known as Navigation Yard. The building, thought to be the only one of its kind still in existence, has a heritage theme covering the early development of the new River Slea, the story of the Navigation and its significant impact on Sleaford’s history.

Interactive exhibits, displays and film footage make a lovely visit for all ages – you can even pick up some duck food and continue your experience along the riverside to Cogglesford Watermill.

Our knowledgeable staff will help you discover the area – collect some free leaflets and local information here, including the monthly Towpath.

The charming retail space stocks gift items as well as items handmade by local crafters.

If you would like to discuss selling your items in Navigation House please email us at [email protected].
