Step into a world of wonder this December at WinterLight, Sleaford’s enchanting celebration of the festive season!

🦉 The Nocturnal Collection

Wander through a dazzling display of illuminated woodland creatures – from glowing Foxes and Hedgehogs to majestic Owls – lighting up the night with festive charm.

🕯️ Lantern Making & Procession

Thanks to everyone who came along to one of the free drop-in lantern workshops with Lumo Workshops. Remember to bring your lantern with you to WinterLight to carry it in the enchanting community lantern procession on 20 December at 5pm, starting at the Hub and ending in the Market Place. Or if you’ve left yours with us to dry, we’ll have it ready for collection at the Hub Dance Studio from 4.30pm.

⛸️ Ice Skating & Curling

Enjoy free ice skating with a token-based queuing system (first come, first served).
New this year: Curling! Also free and managed with tokens – come early to secure your slot.

🎪  Festive Fun & Entertainment
  • Kick off the evening with a 30-minute interactive Hula Hoop workshop, followed by glowing LED Hula Hoop walkabouts after dark (5.30pm and 7pm)
  • Meet the Winter Wonderland birds (5pm and 6.30pm) and spot Elves riding Reindeers as they roam the festivities (4pm, 6pm and 7pm)
  • Enjoy live festive music throughout the evening, including performances by the Military Wives Choir, Take Note Choir, Sleaford Concert Band, and Eccentric Renegade.
  • Plus, students from Go Dance will perform a 15-minute set at 5pm!
🎨  Free Face Painting

Visit Waffle & Chill for free face painting – where two artists will be transforming little ones into their favourite festive characters!

🍔 Seasonal Food & Drink
  • Get Lairded and The Naughty Pig will serve up festive treats like burgers and loaded fries with a twist.
  • Local businesses in the Market Place will offer hot drinks, seasonal sandwiches, sweet treats, and crumble pots, combined with late night shopping for those last minute gifts!
🌿 Community Stalls
  • Navigation House will serve mulled wine and host an information stall showcasing Heart of Lincs tourism
  • Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust will host a wildlife activity for children.
  • Sleaford Rotary Club return with their popular photo booth sleigh.
