Workshop: Introduction to Foraging

Whisby Nature Park

21 September at 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

£20 – £25

Join Whisby Education Officer Sam Reast to explore the potential of foraging and cooking with wild plants. You’ll learn the fundamentals of sustainable foraging and how to ensure it is as safe as possible for you and the environment. Get out and about in the grounds of the Education Centre at Whisby, an area which isn’t open to the public, and take the opportunity to create something yourself in our outdoor forage kitchen.

Meet at Whisby Education Centre for a 10am start. Parking available in the main visitor car park; parking charges apply. Refreshments included and available throughout the workshop. Please bring a packed lunch or there will be a break during which you can buy lunch at the Natural World Centre cafe on site if you prefer.

Please ensure that you bring outdoor clothes suitable for the weather on the day, sturdy walking boots or shoes, and your student ID if you’ve bought a student ticket. Please note that no dogs are permitted at this workshop or within the Education Centre grounds.

For more information, please get in touch with our Education Team via email: [email protected] or phone: 01522 696926.
