FreeActive and Sustainable Travel Event
Would you like to see less traffic congestion, safer roads, cleaner air? Would you like to reduce pressure on health services while doing something to tackle climate breakdown?
Active Travel, including walking and cycling can help us to achieve these benefits. It is good for our health and fitness, and it’s better for our planet too, as we are leaving the car at home. And we can take the bus or the train if we need to travel further.
Sleaford Climate Action Network and North Kesteven District Council invite you to come and enjoy a range of activities and entertainment all based on how we can travel better. Here’s what we have planned:
- Try Out Our Balance Bikes and Accessible cycles.
- Bike Repairs and Skill Sharing Demonstrations.
- Rhubarb Theatre Story Telling – a fascinating story for children aged under 10. Performances at 10.30am, 12.00 and 1.30pm.
- Pedal Powered Activities – provided by ‘Everybody’s Cycling’. Come and try the Circle.
- Cycle the pedal-powered Scalextric, bubble machine or smoothie maker.
- Information from Cycling UK and Love to Ride about the benefits of cycling.
- Find Out About ‘Stepping Out Walks’ with Hill Holt Wood and Co-op Well-Being Walks.
- Local Bus and Train Information from Lincolnshire County Council.
- Information from Railfuture working for better rail services in the area.
We look forward to seeing you there. For more information email: [email protected]
