Build Your Own Scarecrow Competition

Our much-loved annual Scarecrow Competition returns for 2024. We are inviting all local schools and community groups to get their creative hats on and join together in showcasing their entries.

The creepy crew of scarecrows will be on display on the lawn in front of the Gatehouse, free of charge, Saturday 19 – Sunday 27 October for everyone to enjoy.

We encourage all participants to consider using sustainable and recycled materials. Please see photos below of previous entries as inspiration. The winning school or group will receive a homegrown Doddington Christmas Tree (up to 8ft).

All entries will be judged by Jordan, our Head Gardener and there will be one winner.
