RiverLight is a celebration of Sleaford – its history, stories and unique spaces, with the river at its heart.
RiverLight will be supported by North Kesteven District Council and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF). It has been funded under the Communities & Place investment priority, specifically by strengthening social fabric and fostering a sense of local pride and belonging through investment in activities that enhance physical, cultural and social ties and access to amenities, such as community infrastructure and local green space, and community-led projects (UK SPF Prospectus, Aug 2022).
RiverLight is a celebration of Sleaford – its history, stories and unique spaces, with the river at its heart. The open and vibrant themes of colour and light means we can be inclusive of as many exciting opportunities and ideas as possible.
The RiverLight festival finale will take place on Sat 21 Oct including daytime and early evening experiences. It will be the culmination of a period of artist-led and community-led activities, events, projects, commissions and experiences that will foster local ownership and pride in the festival.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
