Poppy Pebbles at the Mill – Armed Forces Day Activity

FreeJoin us this Armed Forces Day for a creative and meaningful afternoon at Cogglesford Watermill. We’re inviting visitors of all ages to take part in our Poppy Pebbles Project, a tribute to our Armed Forces inspired by Highland cairns of remembrance.
Come paint a poppy pebble—red, white, purple, or black—and help us start building a memorial cairn that will stand as a symbol of reflection and respect throughout the year, culminating in a special display this November.
– Pebbles and painting supplies will be provided (or bring your own!)
– Can’t stay long? Take some pebbles to decorate at home or school—drop them off anytime during opening hours.
While you’re planning your visit, why not get involved in our Knitted and Crocheted Poppy Project too? We’re collecting handcrafted poppies for a beautiful indoor installation at the Mill this November. Pick up a pattern at the event or email us: [email protected].
