You’ll be introduced to key willow‑weaving techniques, from selecting and preparing materials to forming the frame, adding ribs, and weaving the body of the basket. This beginner‑friendly session offers a relaxed, supportive environment where you can explore natural materials and develop confidence in a heritage craft.

Do I need to bring anything with me? 

All tools and materials are provided.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes, however please note – Willow weaving is a tactile craft, so having comfortable hand strength and dexterity helps.
