‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ – Free Family Day

Did you know that when children were evacuated during WW2, they were only allowed to take one toy with them? Or that many airmen had mascots, like a small toy, for luck during their missions? Do you have a favourite toy or mascot? If so, why not pop along and join the Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the IBCC, held outside on the front lawn.

Bring along your own picnic and toy/mascot and have a go at some of the outdoor games. There will be a prize for the best WW2 dressed toy/mascot and for best children’s evacuee costume.
