Coronation Celebration – Sleaford

🇬🇧Following Sleaford Town Council’s recent announcement about a Coronation Celebration event for King Charles III on Saturday 6th May, we are now delighted to bring you further details!
There will be an exciting day of celebrations at Boston Road Recreation Ground including a big screen on the grass to watch the Coronation on (no charge), live entertainment and music (no charge), a charity fancy dress 3k fun run (100 entrants, booked in advance), free face painting, free bouncy castles, a tea tent, deckchairs and benches to sit on, trade stalls and food and drink. Also, bring a picnic and a chair and really make the most of the day!
There will also be a charity duck race on the River Slea, environmental stalls and activities on Eastgate Green, a procession, a Farmers’ Market in the Market Place and a showing of the Coronation in the Town Hall (max 55 people, bookable in advance).
The centre of town will be adorned with Union Jacks and we will also be holding a Best Dressed Coronation Window Competition for all the shops, businesses and eateries in Sleaford!
A tree to commemorate the Coronation will be planted in the Recreation Ground on the Monday after the Coronation, where a special ceremony will be held for this.
